This is the Yeha Temple, some 40 km north of Axum. The building dates to at least 2,500 years ago. It is amazing in that the stones making it up were all put together using no mortar. There was an agricultural community in this area, maybe as much as 4000 years ago, probably with some kind of earth-centered religion.
