Back to Axum
We put all our luggage on top of the car and headed back to Axum. Along the way, there was a Portuguese fortress on the side of a hill and we decided to go up and take a look at it. We had to open a big gate to get in to it. Just as we got there, it began raining. Then a man came out and said we shouldn't have gone in without his consent. Haile knew that it was open to the public, but they got into a big argument. Meanwhile, the luggage was getting wet. Finally, we got the luggage inside, which made it quite crowded for us. We drove out in the raiin, deciding that we really did not need to see the fortress. We drove to the Yeha Hotel, named in honor of the Yeha Temple that we had seen earlier.
