The oldest book

Inside the locked building was another locked enclosure and inside this was the box shown at the left. Inside this, carefully covered with a blanket, was the oldest book in Ethiopia, a story of the history of the church, and of great value to the people there. Each page in the book was carefully covered with a piece of cloth that was lifted so that we could see the text and the pictures.
