Special Friends

We had a wonderful time in Oregon visiting relatives on the Finch side of the family, many of whom we had not seen for some time. The jet boat trip on the Rogue River was exciting. The countryside is beautiful.

But everything comes to and end and on Monday the 9th of July we drove to Seattle to visit very special friends. Many years ago, Yemi and Ayele came from Ethiopia to Iowa with daughters Meron and Meklit. They lived with us for a time while they were getting their feet on the ground in a new country and so, for many years they have been special friends. Yemi and Meron are living in Seattle and it was wonderful to be able to visit them there.
