Winter on the Mesa

A group of Sierra Club went to Mesa Lakes on the side of Grand Mesa for a winter week end.

And Carole was out, too. Snow was great and the trails were packed.





I was out with my snow shoes, but didn't get a picture until I got back to the cabin. It was beautiful out along the lakes and the creeks, as you can see below.

Frost made the little trees beautiful.

Dippers don't mind the cold as long as there is open water where they can find something to eat.
